Ferries to Vulcano All the ferry companies on Mr Ferry!

Vulcano or "Vulcan" is a small volcanic island in the Tyrrhenian Sea, about 25 km north of Sicily and located at the southernmost end of the seven Aeolian Ilsands. The island contains several volcanic calderas, including one of the four active volcanoes in Italy that are not submarine.

The most famous beach, the "Sabbie Nere" is the only fairly large sandy beach in the Aeolian Islands. The stretch of sea is characterized by volcanic gas emissions. A typical attraction of the island is the "Hiking to the crater", which lasts about an hour and allows you to get to the top to admire one of the most suggestive panoramas of the Aeolian islands with a view of all seven islands.
